COOS BAY, OREGON -
LEFT THE NICEST CAMPGROUND YET. BEST CLUBHOUSE OF ANY, SO FAR. NICE GROUNDS AND PERMANENTS HAVE NICE GARDENS, WITH TOMATOES AND MELONS. LOTSA NUT TREES, ETC.
ROAD WAS UNEVENTFUL AND KINDA BORING, UNTIL WE TURNED OFF AT EUGENE. WE TRAVELED ALONG A RIVER, THROUGH TUNNELS, UP AND DOWN HILLS.SAW A HERD OF ABOUT 50 ELK, CROSSED OVER A HUGE BRIDGE AND INTO COOS BAY/NORTH END.
THE TOWN IS LIKE A MARITIME FRONTIER TOWN, WITH TONS OF WEIRD, LOST SOULS.
THE CAMPGROUND IS ---------PAVED !! 100% PAVED !!
WENT ON TOUR. UP AND DOWN THE COAST. FOUND A GREAT BEACH. NO ONE THERE. DOGS LOVED IT. WENT ON AND FOUND UNEQUALED VISTAS AND VIEWS. STOPPED AT SIMPSON'S REEF AND SAW THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF SEALS, SEA LIONS, BIRDS, ETC, ETC......
UNBELIEVABLE. GONNA TAKE 2 DAYS TO WANDER DOWN TO KLAMATH, CALIFORNIA AND THEN STAY THERE FOR THE WEEKEND.
